Supersmokers in St Louis, MO

Had the chance on my way back from Springfield, MO to hit Supersmokers over by St Louis, MO (says St Louis on their website but a Yahoo Maps search seems to say it’s Eureka.)  After finally figuring out where it actually was I went in and the lady behind the counter was very helpful with what they were known for and what to get. Just by looking around you can see they have competed and won a lot (listed here) of different competitions.

Bandana’s – Springfield, MO

Well I’m at the HighEdWeb conference in Springfield, MO and was looking for a place to eat some BBQ. Was going to hit Granddaddy’s which is downtown but caught wind it was closed on Monday’s (UPDATE – Tried to go to it that Tuesday as well and it was also closed, not sure what was up with that because they actually advertised at the conference) so hit up another place named Trolley’s which was a cool place, food was a bit higher then it was but can’t beat buck a mug deals. :)

So today for lunch decided to drive around and found a place named Bandana’s.

Wow and hopefully more soon :)

I’m amazed that 2 different real people, what atleast looks to be not direct spam :) , found the site when I haven’t even started using it yet or even posting about it anywhere.

Unfortunately it’s been a crazy summer so I haven’t been able to put the time towards this I had hoped to.  Still haven’t even changed out the default template yet.  :)

On a positive note I made som Pulled Pork this weekend that turned out pretty good, decent smoke ring on though I didn’t have time to let the rub really sit on it before cooking though the outside was still quite tasty.  I wish I took some pics of it but eating was all that was on my mind when it finally was done so it was demolished pretty quickly.  I have some left over that I plan to throw in a Brunswick stew that I love making.  I’ll have to put my recipe for that out here in the future.

Also need to get back to work on my smoker ideas but those are probably still farther off till I have some time to really lay out the end goals with that.

Well, hope to have more soon.

Hello all, not that anyone will see this, but the site is now live. Basically the plan is to blog about 2 of my favorite pastimes, Barbecue and Fireworks. Working on a theme for WordPress right now for it and will hopefully have that up soon with other stuff.

Hope to see you all soon,
